Released by EMI in July 1981, this box set (BMC 10) contains of all The Beatles' mono albums as originally issued in the UK.

Many sides were recut for this set by the Beatles' original cutting engineer Harry Moss. However some utilized the original 1960's tube cuttings (marked *)

This set includes a mispressed 'Sgt Pepper's..' disc which is mono on side 1 but stereo on side 2.

Unlike the black mono box set exported to the U.S., only a reported 500 red sets were produced.

Here is a list of the box contents along with the matrix information:

All discs are housed within semi-gloss/unlaminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed covers.

The 'White Album' is side-loading and un-numbered. Poster and 4 colour photos are included.

'Sgt Pepper's...' comes with its cut-out insert sheet.

All inner-sleeves are original and contemporary with this set's release.

All discs are MINT/UNPLAYED

All covers are MINT except for 'Help!' which has two small tears (1cm & 0.5cm) tears to its rear opening edge (see image). All corners of all covers are square and unbumped and there are no seam stresses or splits to any.

All inner-sleeves are MINT, again with no seam splits, tears or writing.

A fine clean & fully intact example. All of the gold lettering is complete and there are no marks on the front panel. There is a hint of shelfwear to the lower left corners and a couple of scratches on the rear but the front hinged opening is unworn and unstressed. The four metal studs on each side are clean & unrusted.

We don't think you would need or be able to upgrade this beautiful, great sounding set.
