An interesting and unusual photographic print (21 x 16.5cms) relating to a story in the UK newspaper the 'Daily Express' from October 1965.

The photo was used to illustrate a letter to the newspaper by a fan who suggested the Beatles play at the opening of the not yet completed Liverpool Roman Catholic cathedral. The clipping of the letter is shown and included.

Another clipping reports the reaction from the Beatles as being: "We just couldn't do it. It isn't our sort of thing."

The glossy newspaper photo is stamped on the reverse and dated '16 Oct 1965'.

The cathedral was eventually opened in 1967 with no Beatles in attendance.
