Description
Records were not shrinkwrapped or sealed in the UK until retailers like Virgin and HMV began the practice in the mid-1970's. Therefore sealed UK pressings from before that time are extremely rare.
This 45 was exported to the U.S. for sale in Tower Records who sealed it on receipt for sale in one of their stores.
This SEALED UK pressing of 'The Ballad of John & Yoko'/'Old Brown Shoe' (Apple R 5786) dates from late 1969.
The disc has dark green Apple Record labels with push-out centres - both of which omit the 'Sold in UK...' text.
Housed in its original plain white, die-cut cover which is still 100% sealed.
