This hard to find pressing of their debut 45 dates from mid-1964 on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 4949

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text, with upper care 'The Parlophone Co..' rims.

'Love Me Do' is the Ringo-on-drums version, exactly as it was on the red label 1st pressings.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is in the centre of the 'Love Me Do' label with 'MPZT' in both run-outs.

A superb set with no more than 1 or 2 faint spindle trails around the 'Love Me Do' centre hole only.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Super-clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight, revealing only some harmless wispy marks from sleeve storage beneath halogen light.

Audio: EXCELLENT +

Lovely clean & warm sound from both tracks with no trace of any groove/playwear on either side. Aside from a hint of vinyl background in the breaks, there is little to fault on this barely played, well looked-after copy.
